PALM SPRINGS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2010

The 2010 Palm Springs International Film Festival anunció un nuevo programa que destacará el Cine Australiano, que se suman a las películas seleccionadas para cometir al FIPRESCI Award, New Voices/New Visions Award y a los John Schlesinger Awards. Un total de 188 películas de 70 países, incluyendo 41 películas de las 65 officiales presentadas a la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas en la categoría de Mejor Película Extranjera, se mostrarán del 7 al 18 de Enero.

G'DAY USA: A SHOWCASE OF NEW AUSTRALIAN CINEMA

El 9 de Enero, el Festival celebrara el día del cine Australiano, llamado "G'Day USA: A Showcase of New Australian Cinema."

AWARDS BUZZ
Como parte del Programa Awards Buzz, el programa mostrará 41 películas de las 65 officiales presentadas a la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas en la categoría de Mejor Película Extranjera. Un jurado especial de críticos internacionales, reseñará estas películas para entregar el FIPRESCI Award a la Mejor Película Extranjera del año, al Mejor Actor y Mejor Actriz. Los miembros del jurado son B. Ruby Rich, Jan Stuart y Katherine Tulich.

NEW VOICES/NEW VISIONS
The New Voices/New Visions Award honrrará una de 12 películas de nuevos talentos internacionales, que hacen su primera o segunda película. El jurado encargado está formado por Sara Rose de Apparition; Nancy Gerstman de Zeitgeist Films y Arianna Bocco de IFC Films.

PALM SPRINGS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2010 GALAS, PREMIERES, MODERN MASTERS & SPECIAL PRESENTATION PROGRAMS

El Festival de Palm Springs, en su 21ª Edición en el 2010 Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF) ha anunciado las Galas, Premieres, Modern Masters y Special Presentation Programs. 

El festival empieza el 7 de Enero, inagurando con The Last Station y clausarará el 17 de Enero, con la comedia independiente, The Lightkeepers. 

En el festival se mostrarán 189 películas de 70 países diferentes, incluyendo 76 premieres (7 mundiales, 12 Norte Americanas y 57 U.S.), durante su duración del 7 al 18 de Enero, en Palm Springs, California.
